Steven Shimek provides consulting services through Natural Resource Solutions LLC. He has over 40 years of professional experience, including; project management, solid waste management, risk-based assessments, and agronomic research.
Steven has provided consulting services to the forest products industry most of his career, but has also has worked with the food and beverage industry, foundries, utilities and municipalities.
Steven has developed expertise in the beneficial use of waste streams and he is nationally recognized for this work. Some of the beneficial use services he provides include:
- Research to characterize waste products and quantify beneficial properties and limitations for their use
- Risk assessments and permitting
- Bid document preparation and contractor selection
- Program management
